Wrap Up

Clafouti was quite pleasant. Just having to write it wasn't a hot fudge sundae confirms it isn't an American (peach cobbler?) dessert. I wish I would have made more—I was spooked by the recipe's instructions for a 7-8 cup pan and cut back a bit.

I really enjoyed doing this and will definitely dip into Mastering the Art of French Cooking again. I have long known that my favorite cookbooks have a ragged look from use, and Julia started to take on that look yesterday. I guess the most practical lesson I learned is to copy the recipes I'm going to use before I actually mess up the source.
