This is my new sidekick, Hank, in Room 710 at Virginia Hospital Center shortly before I was moved to the Inpatient Rehabilitation Center. I had hoped to show the view out the window there looking west towards Lee Highway, but I couldn't manage a shot—there was a big snowstorm a few days ago (last of the season I hope) and the view was serene and dramatic. The reason for this admission? I took a tumble down the steps last weekend and fractured my pelvis and maybe some ribs. No surgery in my prospects. Just managing the pain, learning to cope with reduced mobility, and learning ADLs all over.
