A surprising juxtaposition of the seventeenth century with classical times.

Dave Pell offers a confirming opinion at Medium—
I first met Michele when she became one of my high school students in Brooklyn. She had just moved from Haiti, she slept on the floor of her family’s small apartment in a violent neighborhood, and she was picking up English as a second language. Today she’s a Harvard graduate and a law professor. That’s what America is all about. It’s shocking that we still need to remind people of that. Michele represents the best of America. Donald Trump, the worst.

What I have in common with Donald Trump:— James Fallows (@JamesFallows) January 12, 2018
- Mother’s side of family from Scotland (his MacLeod, mine Mackenzie)
- Father’s side w German component (his grandfather Trump born there, like my great-grandfather Herr).
All came to US because where they were at the time, was shithole.
Good Lord, close to 40% of the country and the Republicans in Congress still support this man.
