A surprising juxtaposition of the seventeenth century with classical times.
I definitely don't want to lose track of this. For years I've been telling anyone who cared to listen (or was forced to) that Middlemarch is the greatest novel of all time. Now, Open Culture lets me know that it's been put down on video and that Virginia Woolf had a o pretty definite opinion—“one of the few English novels written for grown-up people”—about the book as well. I am looking forward to this.
