When we were reviewing our goals for the week—walking and climbing stairs—the PT I am working with referred to stairs as my "white whale"—there's no way I can negotiate my way into my home without climbing two stairs. In our second session today I took 5 or 6 paces to a metronomic beat (sort of) 4 or 5 times and successfully climbed up 2-inch and 6-inch stairs several times. Surprised and pleased me.
