The New York Times noted that Emory University is to receive papers of Flannery O'Connor in today's edition and revealed in the story that she's to be inducted into to American Poets Corner at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine on November 2. I had no idea that such a place existed nor have I any idea how much Poets Corner in Westminster Abbey is celebrated or revered, but it sure seems to me that Americans Poet Corner should command the same kind of attention and respect that the NFL Hall of Fame or a similar attraction has.
